ReWired for Change Launch Party
In September 2009, ReWired for Change held its Launch Party, co-sponsored by the Living Classrooms Foundation – where students from the ReWired for Life! pilot program performed their poetry. Supporters from across Baltimore came to the event to help cheer on our young people and RWFC, as we officially launched the organization and programs in Baltimore.
More of our founding members came through to help support our mission at that event – Michael K Williams (Omar), Jaime Hector (Marlo), Clarke Johnson (Gus Haynes), Gbenga Akinnagbe (Chris Partlow), Ed Norris (Ed Norris) and several others joined Sonja, along with Ed Reed, Dominique Foxworth and Mark Clayton of the Baltimore Ravens.

Pints and Pinstripes Event A Success
Thanks so much to Blue Sky Events for hosting the Pints and Pinstripes event and donating 15% of the proceeds to RWFC! The DJ, food and the panoramic view of Baltimore from Silo Point were amazing. A good time was had by all – just ask RWFL! member, Marcus Nole, who ate, danced and met some amazing people that night – including a Cornell University admissions officer who was so impressed with him that he wants to help him get into their MBA program once he completes his undergrad degree . . . way to go, Marcus! We found out that we now have even more supporters who live throughout Baltimore. They came out in droves and are lined up and ready to begin volunteer efforts this summer. Lookout Baltimore City . . . this is what we’ve been waiting for — citizens united and ready to create a change that’s works for all!
